Fascinating talk that turns the traditional incentive based business models on their head.
TEDTalks (video) - Dan Pink on the surprising science of motivation
One flight down
flirt with the aircrew and just kept smiling and giggling at the woman
in the row behind.
There were only a few wriggles butI'd no hope of watching a full film
though part of that was trying to get some work out of the way.
Arrived in Changi and again Theo was a rock star with all the customs
officials wanting to hold him. I've never seen him laugh and smile so
much - it was so, so good.
Naomi was stunned when we got through immigration and the bags were
on the carousel in front of us. Taxi just about got us safely to the
hotel (usual late night taxi driver working too hard and falling
asleep at the wheel).
Yesterday we walked from the hotel to Clifford Quay (I got us a little
bit lost). Stopped off at Raffles on the way. Had some lunch and then
back to the hotel. We crashed and then went to grab some street food
with Lana off Orchard Rd. Had such an excellent time and then passed
out (again).
Today was relaxing. Got off to Sim Lim but have to say, it's just not
the same. All the computer shops replaced with iPhone and camera
shops. Got jagged and very aware of it (but it was still way cheaper
than Uk/Aus). Back to the hotel, packed, and off to Raffles.
All the time though I can't get ofer how everyone just treats Theo
like a superstar. Women just want to hold him and while we were having
lunch the waitresses had to take their photo with him. It really is
something else. It's truly unbelievable.
But I love it. As if I wasn't a proud enough father. This is
positively off the charts!
