Before MP3s, Tapes had Two Sides

I loved reading this article. Having grown up with the walkman (and numerous ever-improving incarnations thereof), it's hard to imagine what it would be like not knowing that, for example, tapes have two sides.

Also, it's worth remembering that only 6-7 years ago, iPods and MP3 players weren't that prevalent, so this statement is also relative; "I'm relieved that the majority of technological advancement happened before I was born, as I can't imagine having to use such basic equipment every day."

Who can really predict what the next big advancement will be?
