I've now got my data enabled and it's the first bit of work related
travel since getting it.
It's already making me lazy and giving me ADHD but how do you complain
at the convenience of Google maps when you're in a pretty much
unfamiliar city?
Anyway under recommendation I'm sitting anti-socially in a very nice
little Argentinian restaurant (how I'm missing my spell-checker). The
walls are interspersed with eclectic pieces and excellence awards
going back 10 years plastering amy spar space. The only thing is that
there's a rather drunk Englishman at the table beside me who seems to
think the whole restaurant is interested in his foul-mouthed
opinions... Bless him, if only be could hear himself...
Anyway, it's been interesting so far. I can't get over how many really
drunk people there've been in the city centre. I know every city has
some but I don't think I've ever seen that many or been beligerently
asked for spare change with such frequency.
Back to Gaucho's. So far so very good. Even the bread (with a great
chili salsa) to start has been worth noting. And the steak is worth
the price. What a great meal. Perfectly cooked meat, homemade
(properly and probably not very healthily made) roast potatoes with a
superb, fresh peppercorn sauce on the side. I almost feel like an
idiot fir blogging about how great a steak is but if you're in
Adelaide, Gaucho's is worth checking out - and probably will be for
years to come.
